A stressing swarm of tremors have broken out close to the Yellowstone supervolcano, close Virginia City Montana and Hebgen Lake.

Researchers have cautioned that the tremors represent a critical danger of going about as an impetus to something substantially greater.

Marygreeley.com reports:

Hebgen lake is the area of the biggest tremor to strike the Intermountain West in written history, with a M7.5 appearing in 1959.

The swarm is being caused by weight originating from the West drift. Almost certainly the weight is working off the drift, now pushing the craton edge toward the East, causing a swarm at Yellowstone because of the weight.
